Day 23:Hot Summer

Six runners made it past 60 miles, the least amount since the race began. Temperatures hit 90º+, with the humidity poking around 40%- all a summer mix in New York City, destined to drive people to air-conditioning or to the beach. Yet Team Ukraine put up big numbers, with Sarvagata Ukrainskyi reaching 71.69 miles and Yuri Trostenyuk 69.14. Sarvagata was the first runner to reach the halfway point- 1550 miles- in 22 days+01:54:14. Yuri and Pranjal Milovnik should clip that mark on Tuesday. Nine runners are still on pace to finish, with two on the bubble. More hot weather on Tuesday and a little less hot on Wednesday. Stay cool, folks.
