Day 21: Beat the Heat

With half the field getting over 60 miles and Aussie Grahak Cunningham lighting up 76.28 miles on his card the inimitable eleven
ran on, impervious to heat wave 3. Grahak will reach halfway (1550 miles) Sunday afternoon some time, so his prognosis for a fast time three weeks down the road looks good. Grahak has only four days below seventy miles for the entire race. Top tier stuff. The 95 to 98º day did not stop the runners, nor the late evening thunderstorm that moved in and drenched the remaining late night competitors. After a last gasp hot day the coming storms tomorrow will bring relief and cooler temps to the area. More later.
