Asprihanal Aalto and Grahak Cunningham, the top two runners each ran over 70 miles, with Mr. Aalto reaching the 77.92 mark. Grahak reached the 100 mile split in 14+14:19:23, his fastest time. Two Ukrainians impressed as Vladimir and Stutisheel both ran 65.85 miles today.

Day 14: Aalto Reaches Kilo and Beyond

Asprihanal Aalto reached 1000 miles in 13 days+04:46:51, a personal best for him as well as a ninth straight day over 70+ miles. He is nearly two full days ahead of second place runner Grahak Cunningham, who recorded another 70 plus day as well. In total, nine runners finished running over 60 miles today. First timer Vladimir Balatskyy ran 65.85 miles to move into sixth place overall. Twelve-time finisher Suprabha Beckjord is nearly identical to her performance in last year’s event, while still holding tenth place.
Day 13: Asprihanal Aalto Leads Again

With another rousing 75.18 miles of running,Asprihanal Aalto has improved his chances for finishing first. He is averaging over 75 miles per day(120 km) and has no real challenger. Grahak Cunnungham remains in second place off another wonderful session of 69.15 miles.Of the two new men in the race, Ukrainian Vladimir Balatskyy leads the way with a sparkling 64.20 effort.
Day 12: No Rain, Yes Gain.

Asprihanal Aalto extended his lead to over 100 miles as he rode a streak of seven straight days over 70 miles, including running 75.18 miles today. Grahak Cunningham ran his streak to two days of 70+ miles. In all, nine runners made it past the sixty mile mark.First-timer Vladimir Balatskyy continues to impress with 65.85 miles.
Day 11: Asprihanal Flies Along

Nine of the 13 runners topped 60 miles, led by the irrepressible Asprihanal Aalto who bagged 76.83 miles. Grahak Cunningham from Australia had his best day since Day 1 with a sparkling 70.29 effort. Suprabha Beckjord had her best day since Day 2 with 57.62 miles.
Day 10: Asprihanal Aalto on a Roll

Finn Asprihanal Aalto ran 77.38 miles to increase his lead to 97 miles after 10 days. Mr Aalto has averaged 75.18 miles(120.2 km) per day. Petr Spacil from the Czech Republic has moved into second by one lap over Grahak Cunningham of Australia. Nine runners went over 60 miles today including Pranab Vladovic from Slovakia, who has a streak of four straight days over 60 miles.
Day 9: Asprihanal Leads Assault On Course

Asprihanal Aalto ran 79.57 miles to lengthen his lead in the 3100 mile race to over 74 miles. A total of 10 runners ran 60 miles or better today, as rain continued to batter the Northeast.
Day 8: The Gap Widens

Asprihanal Aalto has led the mileage race every single day of the 3100 this year. Today was no exception as the slender Finn ran 76.28 miles to lengthen his lead to 57 miles(almost a full day of running). In total nine of the lucky thirteen made it past 60 miles. Grahak, Petr and Pranab had good effort days going past 64 miles.
Day 7: Rain? What Rain?

The field of 13 runners thumbed their collective nose at the weather man and continued on, in mist, fog, rain and showers to finish their first week in the 3100 Mile Race. Asprihanal Aalto ran 77.92 miles to lead the way again, averaging over 74 miles per day for the week. Pushkar Mullauer ran 65.85 and Grahak Cunningham 64.2, but the silver star went to Pranab Vladovic, who recorded 66.4 miles in his second day back from a serious skin infection. In all, eight runners broke 60 miles as the group fitness level seems to be rising. Happy Fathers Day!
Day 6: A Breath of Fresh Air

The clear, sunny moderate weather was a positive for the water-logged field. Asprihanal Aalto again led the way with 72.99 miles, giving him a 6-day split of 440.68 miles. Pushkar Mullauer remained in second with 414.89 miles, a personal best by eight miles. In all, eight runners passed the 60 mile barrier for the day. Pranab Vladovic returned to the fray, walking 57.6 miles today. He might start to run as early as tomorrow
