Sarvagata Ukrainskyi, 39, from Verdansk, Ukraine, made it to the line in second place in a time of 46 days+03:42:17, his second finish and a welcome relief after numerous injuries the last few weeks. He is still ranked fifth all-time in 3100 mile race history. During the race in his peak form Sarvagata ran six consecutive days of 75+ miles or more(120 km+). He surprised many last year by winning the race in his first attempt against a loaded field. This year he started slowly and moved up the field. He was ably assisted by his wife Sarvakamya, his friend Dimma, and his sister Sarvadhara, among many others.
The rest of the field carries on, with Slovakian Pranjal Milovnik set to finish Friday afternoon.
