Pranab Vladovic copped day honors again with 68.05 miles, gaining about three miles on leader Asprihanal Aalto. Yet, he remains 118 miles behind the Finn. Asprihanal went through the 2000 mile split for the eighth time in his sparkling running life (28 days+08:49:59). Asprihanal remarked ” I realized again today that this is a long race. I hope that I can continue to tell jokes and be cheerful through the long days.” If this race is long for the elite, it must be even longer for the average super-long distance runner.
