Only one man has ever finished in this day. Only one performance set the standard for all others. Madhupran Wolfgang Schwerk ran into immortality in Day 42 in the year 2006. He finished in 41 days+08:16:29, which is still the highest and fastest ever for 3100 miles. No one else has ever finished in Day 42, and Mr. Schwerk also holds the distinction for Day 43(2002) as well. This year Grahak Cunningham will finish on Day 44( Monday), which is elite level as well Today he fashioned 68.05 miles, leaving himself only 198 laps of the 0.5488 mile course(108.5 miles). The rest of the field continues to progress., as seven men total passed 60 miles for the day in sticky, gray, humid conditions.

Day 41: Compelling Force
Grahak Cunningham again led the way with 71.89 miles as the sticky, airless day could not stifle him or his determination. One-hundred and seventy-six miles await his last three days.
Day 40:Rain Men
Running through beads of sweat or drops from a cloud above, our intrepid runners continued their running adventure . Grahak Cunningham led the group with 68.6 miles and quickened his movement to finish Monday afternoon. He needs only 249 miles to reach the goal. Sarvagata Ukrainskyi went past the 2700 mile mark as the second man in the race (2700 = 39+15:41:07). Heavy thunderstorms swept through the area as five men topped sixty miles
Day 39:Lucky Seven
On a humid, warm New York City summer day, seven of our intrepid warriors passed sixty miles. Grahak Cunningham moved closer to his finish with fate at 72.44 miles. Pushkar Mullauer was second on the totem pole with 68.02 miles. The first half of the field has enough cushion plus resolve to get to finish lines everywhere.
Day 38: Getting Closer
The predecessor of the 3100 mile race was the 2700 Mile Race, dedicated by Sri Chinmoy in 1996. The original race had six starters and five finishers, and was won with a time of 40 days,15 hours by one Georgs Jermalajevs from Latvia. Today Grahak passed the distance in 37 days+15:09:55, which was three days faster than the ‘oldie’. So, progress has been made over the years. Grahak led six men over sixty miles today, reaching 68.05 miles before the stroke of midnight. Atmavir Spacil and Pradeep Hoogakker were also impressive during a hot summer day with light breezes. Grahak has been pegged to finish next Monday, so stay tuned for later predictions.
Day 37: Like Clockwork
Grahak Cunningham reached 71.89 miles for the day as showers held off until evening. Pradeep Hoogakker had his best day since Day 1 with 65 miles. Arpan DeAngelo celebrated his 60th birthday with mini parties throughout the calendar day and a large party ensued with live music in the evening, including an appearance by songstress Christin Hoffman. The runners kept on the course until their time to rest or disappear.
Day 36:Beat Goes On
With moderate temps and lower humidity, our heroic pack of eleven trudged on. Grahak Cunningham notched another day in his belt with 72.44 miles, followed closely by a healthier Sarvagata Ukrainskyi(70.79 miles). The duo led six across the sixty-mile barrier, but injuries are still popping up- sore hips and strange blisters. They are still feeling the effects of heat waves 1- 4. Pradeep Hoogakker shows signs of health with his three straight days over 59.6 miles. Go Runners.
Day 35: Five Weeks and Still Ticking
Grahak Cunningham led a group of Five runners to over sixty miles for the day, garnering 70.24 himself. he is averaging 71.395 miles per day(114.80 km). Sarvagata Ukrainskyi bounced back after four difficult days with 62.56 miles and more zip in his step. Atmavis Spacil won the style points for his smooth gait and 66.4 miles with a bouncing ball.
Day 34:Change Is Good
With the temperature having dropped over 30ºF from just two days ago, our band of runners made their way along the journey, showing signs of wear and tear. Grahak Cunningham led the way again with 65.30 miles, closely followed by Pranjal Milovnik with 63.66 and birthday boy Atmavir Spacil with 63.11. Tomorrow marks five weeks on the road. Day 33: Way to Go
Grahak Cunningham has mounted an insurmountable lead of 100 miles over the rest of the field as he ran 71.89 miles today . Seven of the top eight went past 60 miles.The cooler temps have allowed everyone to breathe a little. Stutisheel Lebedyev passed 2000 miles today in 32 days, 17 hours, his ninth time past the 2000 mile barrier. About 45 minutes later, Vasu Duzhiy jogged his way to 2000 miles as well, albeit for the first time..
